FRESH TURMERIC

Fresh Turmeric is a tropical root plant belonging to the ginger family. Its production in Türkiye is very limited, and it is generally imported from India and Southeast Asia. The interior is bright orange in color and has a slightly bitter, earthy aroma. Thanks to the curcumin compound it contains, it is known for its antioxidant properties. It can be grated fresh and used in teas, smoothies, and various dishes.
