GOLD PINEAPPLE

Gold Pineapple (MD2 variety) is the most widely traded commercial pineapple type and is more aromatic than classic pineapples thanks to its intense sweetness and low acidity. Production in Türkiye is almost nonexistent; it is generally imported from tropical countries such as Costa Rica. Since it can be harvested throughout the year in tropical climates, it is available in markets all 12 months. It is rich in vitamin C and is widely used not only for fresh consumption but also in juices, desserts, and cocktails.
